Marcus G. Bolda, Associate
Marc was called to the BC Bar in 1989, articling with a leading litigation boutique. From there, he practiced with a select number of firms in BC, specializing in civil litigation, along with criminal defence and agented prosecutions earlier in his career. He joined Stewart & Company in 2018. A highly experienced litigator, Marc has conducted a broad variety of chambers, trial and appellate work at all levels of court in BC, including jury trials, as well as the Federal Court of Canada. He has represented both plaintiff and defence on major loss personal injury files and was also a Federal Government Agent for several years, representing such diverse entities as Canada Revenue Agency, the RCMP and Parks Canada. Marc is also a skilled negotiator and has participated in many successful mediations. He is in his most natural element in the courtroom. Marc is a long term member of the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Throughout his career, he has mentored other lawyers, with an emphasis on preparing them for the rigours of trial and appellate work. When not busy practising law, Marc enjoys worldwide travel with his wife, skiing, hiking, diving and holds a black belt in karate.
