Marissa Faulkner, Articled Student

Marissa Faulkner is Armstrong Naish’s first Articled Student and her journey to finally arrive at this point, has been far from the norm.

After working as a Paralegal in the plaintiff personal injury sector for over 10 years, Marissa decided to return to University to obtain her law degree. Moving to London, United Kingdom was an enriching experience and studying the law surrounded by historic monuments added to her experience.

During her time in London, Marissa had the privilege of working with Headway East London supporting traumatic brain injury survivors. Not only did this allow Marissa to deepen her understanding of the effects of brain injury in the community, it also allowed her to hear the stories of those directly affected.

After graduating in 2017 Marissa worked with a large London firm focusing in the area of traumatic brain injury and clinical negligence. Marissa worked closely with the clinical negligence partner in this firm focusing on acquired brain injury, such as cerebral palsy, meningitis and cerebral abscess.

Marissa brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to her practice, either plaintiff or defence, as a result of her diverse background.

Away from law, Marissa is most likely to be found traveling the world, attempting to complete one novel a month and walking her mutt, Emmy.
